We are coming mighty close to the trip and I am getting EXCITED! I can't wait to meet all of you, and most of all, I can't wait for you all to see what God is going to do in your lives over just a few short weeks.
If you haven't started packing yet…I would start. Packing the day or night before just adds unwanted stress to your life (speaking from experience here). Especially when you go to put all your stuff in your big suitcase and find that it is too much or too heavy. It is also good to do it early so you make sure that you don't miss a thing, and you can make Walmart runs if you need to.
Here are a few more things that you might not have thought of, or forgot to put on your list:
Host Gifts: For Ruben, Sharon, and Joy. A little something to tell them thank you for all their hard work for us. Don't stress too much. Something native to your area, baby related (for sharon), or something that will help them further their ministry work would be perfect. if you don't have enough room in your bag, don't stress. if you can be creative and think of a one gift that you can give to ALL of them, that would be great too. We will pile it all together and give it to them when we leave.
Flag Supplies: For our AWESOME flag!
Saline Nose Spray: If you tend to get a dry irritated nose or even nose bleeds, this stuff is great for the airplane ride. Especially after being in the very moist air of Cebu and changing over to the DRY air of the plane. After 14.5 hours…even the most moist nose can start to feel raw. i'd let you borrow mine…but thats sort of gross :o)
Ministry Supplies: Whatever you have and whatever you can fit in your bags…bring it. if it doesn't get used in our time over there, it will get used by our hosts eventually! So bring it over!
Swimming Suit: We will be swimming most likely, so you will want to bring one along.
Can't wait to see all of you soon! Keep praying, and this week especially, keep your eyes out for ways that Satan is trying to catch you in sin, regrets, or uncertainties! Know that God has destined you to be with us on this trip, and use the power of His word, His TRUTH, to stamp out the enemies attacks!
